How Three Companies Use Private Office Space

Here are three very different companies that are using private offices to give their employees a private, personalized space of their own.

1. Space to suit employees, clients, and future hires

Since its founding as a one-person business in 2017, Grassroots Analytics has expanded to a workforce of more than 45 people. WeWork has been a crucial business resource for founder and CEO Dan Hogenkamp at that time.

Grassroots Analytics grew from a 27-person location to a 66-person Private Office: a corner area with three interior rooms and views of the historic Carnegie Library—in order to accommodate more staff and welcome visitors and clients in a private setting. Seven of the rooms in the private office can be used as executive offices. At WeWork 700 K Street Northwest, Grassroots preserved their four existing one-person offices, adding up to a total of 70 desks. In order to accommodate the increased staff, the company acquired 30 more monthly conference room credits from WeWork as part of the expansion.

2. Capturing the magic of collaboration

Unearth, a SaaS business, attributes much of its success to the teamwork and enthusiasm of its employees, which is a direct result of the corporate culture. Because of this, Unearth stepped in when the epidemic struck and workers were compelled to work remotely in order to preserve that deep cultural link.

For a while, Zoom was OK. However, as everyone headed back to their offices, Unearth, a platform that supports infrastructure providers in the building, utility, oil and gas, and telecom industries, gave its 27 employees WeWork All Access passes so they could continue creating the collaborative magic for which the company is known.
